Ten Case-officers Handle Three Cases a Week

The application for Reviewing FOI Decision was sent to the FOI Commissioner on 29 June 2012. On 13 July the reception, Carly, advised that the average time for allocating an application to a case officer was six weeks after it was received.
More than six later, on 24 August Dean’s advice was that no timeframe was available at all. He found out that my case was the eighteenth in the queue.
On 20 September the reception Trish revealed that my case in the queue had progressed to the sixth. There were ten case officers worked on the FOI applications for the Commonwealth FOI Commissioner; therefore, their productivity is three cases per week. The FOI commissioner’s capacity of dealing cases is about 150 cases annually. That is an officer needs about four weeks to handle one case.
